Meeker Slough is the major water feature of the Berkeley Global Campus at Richmond Bay (BGC), a 134 acre UC Berkeley academic teaching and research field station located six miles to the northwest of the Berkeley central campus. Meeker Slough is at the outfall of a small unnamed creek draining an urbanized City of Richmond watershed. The slough drains through Western Stege Marsh, a tidal salt marsh that is habitat for endangered species and other wildlife.
