Donations to Strawberry Creek

Why Donate To the Strawberry Creek Fund?

  • Strawberry Creek is a historic feature of the UC Berkeley landscape and provides essential habitat for plants, animals and insects.
  • Each year, over 3,000 UC Berkeley students take courses related to the creek.
  • Teachers and students from local K-12 schools visit the creek for outdoor experiential learning opportunities.

How are your donations used?

  • Hire student interns to manage the native plant nursery and coordinate volunteer outreach activities
  • Purchase plants, equipment, and fencing
  • Support student-initiated projects on the creek
  • Install water quality monitoring stations

How are funds allocated?

Campus restoration efforts and priorities for creek projects are set by the Strawberry Creek Environmental Quality Committee (SCEQC), comprised of faculty, students, and staff.
